Refunds: Effective on April 15th 2014 there will be NO refunds without MD note produced. If a note is produced, the player will be reimbursed 50%(this is for prior to season start) You will receive NO refund after the 1st game of the season regardless of any reason. GYS has to pay for Insurance, Shirts, Field Costs, etc..so please understand.

Equipment:  ALL children participating in an GYS program should have the following basic equipment:

• Shin pads are a MUST!
• Soccer shoes with rubber cleats (no metal), cleats cannot have a center "toe" cleat (i.e. most baseball cleats have one)
• Water bottles at practice AND at games are also a MUST!

Uniforms- 

U4 PreK and U6 Kindergarten Grades- GYS will provide you with a Team tshirt.

U8 1st/2nd Grade GYS will provide you with a Team tshirt.



Intown division:    Groveland Youth Soccer (GYS) is a non-profit athletic community whose mission is to enrich the physical and mental lives of kids through the sport of soccer. The Intown Division is made up of three Age/Grade based programs.

 

• PRE-K           PRE-K                  (8 week clinic)    Parents or siblings are required to participate!!!!
• U6              Kindergarten        Run like a clinic with small games at the end of sessions
• U8              1st & 2nd Grade   (5 vs 5 games) 

Eligibility: Intown soccer is open to children who are in Grades Pre-K thru 2nd Grade. Age cutoff dates for Fall and Spring seasons are as follows:
 

• PRE-K         Enrolled in PRE-K                         
• U6               Enrolled in Kindergarten                 
• U8               Enrolled in 1st & 2nd Grade          

Advanced Placement: A parent can request for an evaluation of their son or daughter to be placed in an age group above their son or daughters age group. However it is up to the discretion of one or all of the following Board members; GYS President, Intown Director, and U10 Directors to decide if advanced placement of a player is warranted/needed.

Seasons: GYS Plays in All 4 seasons.
The Fall season starts at the beginning of September and runs through the beginning of November.
The Spring season starts in April and runs through the beginning of June.
The Summer season starts Late June and runs till Late August (Primarly just Free Pickup games for Grades 1st thru 4th)
The Intown Winter Season starts After February Vacation and runs till 1st week of April
The Travel Winter Season starts in January and runs till April.

Fields: For Spring and Fall there are currently two Groveland field locations, Shanahan Field, and The Pines.
