MVP Travel Soccer (3rd - 4th)
For children in 3rd or 4th grade. Teams at this level are split into boys and girls teams.
Each team is led by volunteer coaches. Players learn the rules, positions, and basic strategies of 7v7 team soccer play, and put them into practice at weekly games against other towns.
Practices
Practices are held at Shanahan Field.
Typically, a team will practice twice a week after school.
Exact practice schedules depend on the availability of your team's volunteer coaches.
Games
7v7 games against nearby towns take place on Saturdays.
Some weeks are home games at Shanahan Field, others are away games at opponents' fields.
Required Equipment
• Soccer ball (size 4)
• Shin pads
• Soccer shoes with rubber cleats are REQUIRED. No metal cleats. Cleats cannot have a center "toe" cleat (i.e. most baseball cleats have one)
• Water bottle at all games and practices

Does my child have to live in Groveland to register?
No. All are welcome to register and participate!
How do I order my child's uniform?
Our uniforms are provided by Team and League Outfitters. The store is located at 103 East Main Street in Georgetown. Once your registration is confirmed, just visit Jen at the store and she will make sure you have everything you need!
Can my child move up to the MVP Travel Soccer program even if they aren't in 3rd or 4th grade?
All requests for a league change should be sent to bvanduyne.gys@gmail.com. The GYS Board and any of your player's previous coaches will determine if a league change is appropriate.

Spring 2024 MVP Travel Team Soccer for 3rd and 4th graders.
The Spring 2024 season is expected to run from 4/6/24 to 6/8/24. Season dates are subject to change.
Two weekday practices and one Saturday game per week. Exact times TBD.
